Description of studies

IT law, or information technology law, is a field of law that deals with the regulation of legal relations in the field of information and communication technologies. It covers both intellectual property law issues in the IT industry and aspects related to personal data protection, cybersecurity, electronic contracts and transactions, copyright, as well as new technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The purpose of IT law is to ensure appropriate regulation in the context of rapid technological development and to avoid potential legal risks for businesses and technology users.

The postgraduate program in IT Law was created in response to the demands of the labor market, which increasingly needs specialists with knowledge in both law and information technology. This program was established relatively recently, within the last decade. Interest in them is constantly growing, as information technology plays an increasingly important role in social and economic life, and the laws governing its use are becoming more and more complex. Therefore, this program provides graduates not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with the practical skills that are essential for a lawyer dealing with IT issues.
